'Choices for Life'
Visitors to the Careers Fair will find a ‘Choices for Life’ area organised by Somerset County Council.
Designed by young people, this is an exhibit to help vulnerable students and young people access the support required to make the best choices in their education and future careers, raising aspirations to live independently.
Open to all, we anticipate this feature will be particularly relevant for the young people most distanced from learning attending both special and mainstream schools, as well as parents/carers. There will be a number of themed zones addressing these questions:
- How can I live more independently?
- How can I choose my next school or college?
- how can I find things to do in my spare time?
- How can I find a job and keep a job?
- How can I stay safe and healthy?
We’re proud to add another dimension to the Careers Fair, making it even more inclusive for the workforce of tomorrow.
